After a massive Cyclone struck coastal Orissa on 12th Nov. 1999, submerging several districts and causing incalculable damage to human and animal life; Dera Sacha Sauda rose to the occasion with the Kind benevolence of His Holiness Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Maharaj. Under Guruji’s direct personal supervision, a goods train comprising 34 railway wagons carrying 26,000 quintals of rations and relief materials filled to the brim - were loaded by the volunteers. A team of volunteers was especially sent to distribute the aid material in Orissa. The articles included rice, pulses, clothes, shoes and other articles of domestic use. This effort was made after a preliminary survey and the distribution was entrusted to the volunteers.
